How to Collect Email Addresses Without an Autoresponder

How to Collect Email Addresses WITHOUT an Autoresponder or Other Paid Services is a question seemingly all new Internet Marketers ask. The answer is not easily found.

When you google any keyword about email collectioin or email list-building, almost invariably you will be directed to the paid services like Aweber, Getresponse, Constant Contact, Mailchimp, Emma, and a host of other good and respected services.

Yes, they all offer a free trial. But soon you start paying a “small” monthly subscription fee, generally in the $20 range.

$20 doesn’t seem like much until you see that charge month after month and you still have few (or none!) subscribers. It’s a bummer and you don’t need that when you are trying to start from scratch.

It seems like everyone experiences this dilemma: How to Collect Email Addresses WITHOUT an Autoresponder or Other Paid Services.

The good news is that there are FREE solutions. What you compromise, however, is not automatically responding to subscribers and immediately entering them into a sequence of emails (an autoresponder) which undoubtedly is more effective in making sales than not auto-replying (Thank You page) and auto follow-up. You DO need an email service with autoresponder at some point. But you don’t need to suffer that cost from day one.

So, here’s How to Collect Email Addresses WITHOUT an Autoresponder or Other Paid Services.

First of all, if you are NOT building your online business using WordPress, you are making a big mistake. Don’t take our word for it, do a little research and you will quickly learn that using eazy-peazy platforms like Wix is not the thing to do. Why? Because you are not hosting it on a server that you control. You are putting your entire business in the hands of someone else and this business-building process is simply too hard and costly in time and money to take any chances.

You can learn more about learning WordPress here.

Now, if you are already using WordPress and have some confidence in installing plugins, go here  and download the free WP Easy Email Subscription plugin and install it on your WordPress site.

You can see the plugin in use on the right side-bar of this website. It is simple but does at least include a captcha to help eliminate spam signups.

The emails you collect will NOT be responded to automatically. They are saved in a downloadable CSV file (spreadsheet) that can then be uploaded to paid services like Aweber and Getresponse after you have collected enough (in your opinion) to go to the next step and sign up for one of the comprehensive paid email services.
